Morella's Primitivo "Old Vines" is a red wine made from old vines and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Ruby red tending towards garnet, a full-bodied and intense wine, with deep and spicy scents, floral and fruity scents, with hints of cloves and an important minerality. Wine made with the methods of the past. To be paired with structured meat dishes and very mature cheeses.

Grape varieties: Primitive 100%
Vineyard: located between Manduria and the sea. Average age of the vineyard 75 years. Maximum yield 35 quintals per hectare.
Land: red earth on drained calcium substrate.
Harvest and fermentation: manual harvest in small crates and fermentation in small vats with manual punching down and controlled temperature of 28° C. Very soft pressing with traditional manual press. Matured in Allier oak barriques for 14 months. Refined in bottle for at least 18 months.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Color: impenetrable red.

Aroma: complex and surprising for the range of aromas it expresses such as black cherry, plum in liquor and tobacco with hints of caramel.

Taste: Rich, dense, full-bodied. An expressive and complete wine. Persistent with a dry finish.

Serving temperature: 18/20 °C
Pairings: excellent with second courses based on red meat.
